Week 1: Starting Your Internship

Week 1: Starting Your Internship

Congratulations on becoming a CRI intern! Whether you are working for the CRI or have an external placement - we are delighted to have you on the team!

This week you will submit your internship contract, internship goals, and your Strengthsfinder results.

Week 1 Checklist

Complete Strengthsfinder Assessment

The Clifton StrengthsFinder assessment helps identify the areas where you (or team if being used in that context) have the greatest potential for building strength. It measures recurring patterns of thought, feeling, and behavior.

You will have received an email from Dr. Donnelly with a link to complete this assessment. We use these assessments to better understand you as an employee, to identify how we can best supervise you and support you in this internship. You are required to send us the full assessment results by the end of this week.

Complete the SMART Goals Worksheet

We've developed our SMART Goals worksheet to help you identify your goals for the internship. You will complete the worksheet and then email your completed worksheet with goals to Drs. Donnelly & Hinson by the end of the week.

Start thinking about your internship project

Whether you are placed with the CRI or an external provider, you will be required to submit regular descriptions and updates about your internship project.

If you are placed with the CRI, you will work with Drs. Donnelly and Hinson to develop a project that meets the needs of the Institute and your goals.

If you are placed externally, you will work with your direct line supervisor to develop a project that meets the organizations needs and your goals.
